We've launched a brand new live feed, introduced a powerful global timezone engine, and completely streamlined the customization drawer to make designing your perfect setup easier than ever.

• The Community Hub: Jump into the Toolbox to access the new live feed! See exactly how many people are focusing right now, view the top active countries, and send preset shouts and emojis to the room to cheer each other on.

• Global Timezone Engine: You are no longer locked to your device's local time. We’ve added a smart, searchable dropdown in the settings menu that tracks over 400 global timezones and automatically handles daylight saving time.

• Interactive Profiles: Avatars inside the Community Hub and Gallery are now fully clickable. Tap a user to instantly view their profile, check out their stats, and browse their published themes.

✨ Improvements & Polish

• Smarter Customisation Drawer: We’ve completely reorganized the settings menu so it flows naturally from Macro to Micro (Themes ➔ Backgrounds ➔ Time & Date ➔ Text & Style).

• Adaptive Settings UI: The menu is now "smart." If you hide the date or switch to an Analogue clock face, the irrelevant settings (like 12/24hr format) will gracefully dim out so your menu stays beautifully clean.

• Timezone Math: Completely rebuilt the time-ago engine to bridge the gap between UTC and Local server time. Timestamps on shouts and user profiles are now perfectly synced, eliminating the pesky "Just now" and "1 hour ago" bugs.

• Full Emoji Support: Upgraded the database connection architecture to strictly support full-color 4-byte emojis. No more ???? on your shouts!

• Profile Saving: Bulletproofed the "Edit Profile" logic so updating passwords and usernames is faster and completely error-free.

🔥 High-Stakes Focus: 2x Trees in Strict Mode

Want to climb the leaderboard faster? Turning on Strict Mode in the Focus Center now rewards you with 2x the trees (grow 2 trees for every 5 minutes focused instead of 1!).

• The Catch: If you switch browser tabs or leave the page, your session will fail and your tree will wither. (Don't worry, we added a 30-second grace period just in case you accidentally click away!).
• Smarter Timers: The Focus Center now automatically remembers your last-used timer length so you don't have to keep resetting it every time you log in. (Note: Timers are now capped at 2 hours per session to keep the global forest fair!)

🎨 Infinite Colors for Countdowns

Your custom Countdowns just got a major glow-up.

• We’ve expanded the default color swatches to include a wider variety of beautiful, aesthetic presets.
• Want something completely unique? Click the new Palette Icon to open a custom color picker and perfectly match your countdown to your background!

✨ GIF Backgrounds are BACK!

You asked, we listened! We recently upgraded our image uploader to make the app run faster, which accidentally broke animated GIFs. We’ve built a special bypass specifically for GIFs so you can get back to studying with your favorite animated lofi windows and pixel-art scenes. (To keep the app running lightning-fast for everyone, GIF uploads are capped at 4MB).

🛡️ Behind-the-Scenes Polish

We’ve also squashed a few bugs, improved UI layouts on mobile, and added ultra-fast, invisible bot protection to our sign-up pages to keep the community safe and secure.

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make Clockface Online more customizable than ever. Today, we are thrilled to roll out a highly requested batch of features that give you total control over your clock's aesthetic!

Here is what is new in this update:

Upload Your Own Backgrounds: You can now upload your own photos and images to use as your clock background! Your custom images are safely compressed and saved directly to your account, meaning your personalized setup will automatically load on any device you log into.

Save to Your Private Library: Built a beautiful clock using a photo of your pet, your favorite game, or custom art? You can now save custom-image themes directly to your private Themes Wardrobe. (Note: To keep the public gallery clean and lightning-fast, custom photo themes cannot be published to the Community Gallery).

"Fade" & "Bokeh" Live Backgrounds: We’ve brought back the classic, silky-smooth "Fade" animation as a premium Live Background. We've also updated our Starter Themes with a brand new "Live Bokeh" preset so everyone can test-drive the premium animated experience!

Under-the-Hood Improvements: We've squashed bugs related to saving large themes, optimized how community themes load, and added USA date formatting to our starter presets.

Local Weather Widget: You can now check the forecast without ever leaving your focus zone. Click the new Weather icon to search for your city or use your GPS location. It automatically detects Celsius or Fahrenheit, remembers your city for next time, and hides the search bar for a perfectly clean, aesthetic readout.

Smart Date Display: By popular demand, you can now toggle the current date to sit perfectly beneath your clock. It scales seamlessly with your custom fonts and includes a format toggle so you can choose between USA style (Friday, May 24th 2026) or International style (Friday, 24th May 2026).

Decluttered Navigation Bar: As we’ve added more tools, the navbar was getting a little crowded. We’ve tucked your extra widgets (like Sounds, Spotify, Challenge, and Weather) behind a butter-smooth, animated "More" button. A cleaner UI means fewer distractions.

Massive Font Library Update: We’ve completely alphabetized the typography list to make finding your favorite font a breeze. We also fixed a few bugs with older fonts and added 20 brand-new, highly requested styles (including Inter, Roboto, Pacifico, Caveat, and Bangers). Hit the "Random Font" button to take them all for a spin!

Under-the-Hood Fixes: Resolved an issue where long custom font names were overlapping with the timer, patched a few UI gaps, and improved the layout engine for a smoother full-screen experience.
